PRIORITIES.
PARTNERSHIPS.
POWER.
With today’s new norm of remote working and socializing, Angela is customizing a unique campaign strategy that caters to the residents of Don Valley North. Her tenure in local and provincial government, combined with the shift towards new modes of interaction, has elicited a cutting-edge platform for campaigning, interacting, and engaging.
This platform takes the best of the traditional forms of campaigning (I.e. flyers, pamphlets, door-to-door engagements) and expands upon them to include a unique and interactive approach to community outreach. It is within this space that the community can voice their concerns and advocate for change.
When asked about her unique campaign approach, Lindow explained that “If the pandemic taught us anything, it is that we must constantly remain nimble and learn to pivot. Torontonians are being asked to go to the polls for the third time in less than a year. As such, I do not want to limit my constituents in how they interact and instead, I want to elevate their preferred modes of engagement. As such, I plan to use tools such as Whatsapp, Instagram, TikTok, Line, Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Spotify, in order to create new avenues of interaction and meaning. Most importantly, this approach puts the control back in the hands of my constituents – as it should be.”
When asked to summarize her campaign, Lindow stated that the campaign focuses on the 3Ps Priorities, partnerships, and power.

Priorities
Represent the “brick and mortar” issues that need immediate resolution. These range from issues around job opportunities to rent affordability and availability. For resolution, these priorities require joint effort and teamwork.
Partnerships
Partnerships range from personal connections to broader relationships with government agencies, local businesses, and community organizations. They are the tools necessary to implement the priorities outlined by the community.
Power
This is a significant concept as it refers to the collective tour-de-force that comes from collective alignment and work ethic. Power ultimately helps establish opportunities for current and future generations in the community.
